Can't see map or for sale feature?

As moderator I made the maps and for sale features active on our group. When a member goes onto site, shouldn't he see on the left side of page a place to click to go to those pages? When a test member tries to do that, there is no reference to either, yet as moderator I was able to make an entry onto both pages. Why aren't they visible to members?
