Does anybody know the movie about toys in cellar of dep store that need to get to santa before they are in bin

the toys need to get to the top of the dep store as the old man who kept them because they were rejects is being sacked and they go all through the department store to get to the top floor to meet santa to save them,and they meet loads of horrible toys on the way there,i remember this at xmas as a child but have never seen it since this was about 20 years ago.
