Are fleas dangerous. I'm freaking out. Please read?

Okay so my ex-step mom took our puppy when she left and she just gave her back after having her for a few months.. And i can tell she has fleas... Se has a raw and her tail has missing fur and she won't stop itching and my other dogs keep attacking/biting her fur... I missed her sooo much so I really want to snuggle with her but im afraid she will infest me with fleas and they will get on my bed... What do I do? She's whining cuz she wants attention and I feel horrible but I'm too scared to do anything
