Friends faking a relationship... Helpp!!!?

Ok Im asking this question for a good friend of mine. Look using fake names Michelle and and Daniel are going out. Michelle is pretty popular but her friend Daniel is like one of the dorks and they are going out to make Daniel popular and is working out. But now they think people are going to find out the real truth so they don't know what to do. If Daniel breaks up with Michelle her rep goes down and people aren't going to talk to her again. If Michelle breaks up with Daniel the most popular girl in school Veronica is going to tell people lies about how they really broke up. And the only way to make it look like Michelle broke up with Daniel is if she find another guy to go out with her which we cant. And we need your help plesseeeee!!!!
